It’s been a while, where have I been?

Well, I’m back. Did you miss me?

Its been about 18 months since I wrote my last blog post and it’s safe to say ALOT has happened! But I‘m now back, so let me fill you in!

Going back to a Studio.

So, it’s May 2018 and I had been freelancing for almost a year. Things were going great and I was enjoying working for myself. I then had a message sent to me on LinkedIn, about a job that had come up at Brown Bag Films in Manchester. If you haven’t heard of Brown Bag, they make shows such as Octonauts and Doc McStuffins.

2 weeks into the job!

I sat down with my partner and decided that I should apply for the in house position. We had actually been trying for a baby for almost 18 months at this point. We decided to stop, have a year off and hopefully if I got the job, save up some money and have some nice holidays...

After completing an art test and attending an interview, I was delighted to be offered the job the next day! I would be a 2d Designer on season 2 of Nella the Princess Knight. Amazing!

Working at the studio was a dream, I loved it.

However, 3 weeks in, something happened...

I found out I was pregnant. Oh. My. Days.

I have never felt so many emotions at one time. I was the happiest I had ever felt, but also so nervous that I was going to be let go, by the studio. Looking back, I was crazy. The studio were the most supportive to me.

So after telling management and them being so helpful and caring, I carried on working and was loving every minute!

I do believe everything happens for a reason.

The day we met!

I took on the job in June 2018. It was a 9 month contract which, believe it or not, ended when I was exactly 37 weeks. I mean, how crazy is that! I worked my whole contract and have now got my name in the credits...

On February 15th 2019, Luca Matthew Hoyle was born and my life has well and truly changed for good! It’s so true, theres no feeling like the love for your baby!

So now 5 months on, Luca is the happiest little thing and Im back in my studio. I have never felt more ambitious and passionate than I do right now. I’m putting more effort into my social media, I’m creating new products to sell, my blog is back, and I‘m now on YouTube!

Take a look at the first video I did after having Luca...

Anyway, I’m so happy to be back!

Speak soon,

E x
